Dedication
This Webpage is
dedicated to all of our MG patients, families, and caregivers. Though
the information provided we trust you will gain more knowledge and
understanding of Myasthenia, and be reassured that you are not alone,
but part of a larger family, a larger community that is dedicated
to life without Myasthenia. We also dedicate this page to those doctors
and nurses who give so generously of their time and lives in the service
of others and the tireless pursuit of finding a cure.
We remember Jane
Ellsworth who founded the Myasthenia Gravis Foundation and Jim and
Kate Board who began the Virginia chapter in 1978. We remember Diane
King who, though terminally ill in her battle with cancer, Lupus,
and Myasthenia, still cheerfully volunteered to support Chapter programs.
She became an example of strength and generosity of spirit for all
of us.
Lastly we salute
the leadership and dedicated services of Bob Colby, who over a period
of nine years as President, established a firm foundation for the
Chapter that makes this Webpage possible.
